ISMH Men’s Health School
Dear colleagues,
We are very pleased about your interest in the ISMH Men’s Health School.
Why do we offer this educational tool? What is our intention?
With this new approach to education the ISMH is again on the forefront of men’s health education and adapts to the changes in education, health care and economy. The ISMH Men’s Health School intends to serve men’s health with special balance of global and local needs as well as academic and practical needs.
The following presentation will focus on hypogonadism, a highly prevalent and widely under-diagnosed condition with far-reaching health and social consequences. Hypogonadism or testosterone deficiency is increasingly recognized as more than a marker for sexual function. Testosterone is now understood to be an integral component of many metabolic pathways associated with obesity, type-2-diabetes-mellitus and cardiometabolic risk profile.
After a brief review of the epidemiology and burden of disease, our focus will turn to recent important clinical data in Testosterone replacement therapy. Practical recommendations will aim to help make sense of the wide range of guidelines available.
We do hope that you learn some more facts about hypogonadism and men’s health.
Yours sincerely
