The State of Men's Health in Europe
This report helps create the baseline understanding of the state of men’s health across the 27 Member States of European Union, the 4 states of the European Free Trade Association and the 3 candidate countries. In doing so it provides a platform on which to build the aspirations of the European Public Health Programme, Together for Health: A Strategic Approach for the EU 2008-2013. The report provides analysis of a broad range of health and social issues that affect the health of men and attempts to give an insight into why men seem so vulnerable to premature death and so challenging with regard to many aspects of their lifestyles.

Using routinely collected statistics on morbidity and mortality and data from academic literature, as comprehensive a picture as possible has been compiled on the state of men’s health across Europe. The purpose of this report is to inform policy makers, health professionals, academics and the wider population of the health challenges men face and to suggest how these challenges are to be overcome.

September 19, 2018 the WHO for Europe ratified their Men's Health Report and Strategy. Click here for more information.

Asian Men's Health Report
The Asian Men’s Health Report is a major achievement in the field of men’s health. It will definitely help advance our understanding of the state of men’s health in this very important part of the world. In addition to the globally known epidemiological facts of men’s health, including the shorter life expectancy of men compared to women, the significance of this report is that it sheds light on the state of men’s health in a part of the world with specific health concerns. Population ageing is one among such concerns. As many countries continue to win the battle against traditional infectious diseases and with the improvement and modernisation of health services, people are now living longer. With an increasing life expectancy, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and metabolic syndromes are becoming important causes of morbidity, mortality and disability. Similarly, age- related cancers move to the forefront of attention by clinicians, researchers, policymakers and health managers.

The Right US Men's Health Report
The October 2011 release of the European Commission (EC) report on the state of men’s health in the European Union (EU) focused attention on men’s health around the world. It also inspired calls for a report on the state of men’s health in the United States, among other regions. These calls contrast with the silences and omissions of a national and global public health discourse that has left men’s health largely unad- dressed and has done little to illuminate the dynamics behind patterns of early illness and pre- mature death.

Men's Health Report: A Comprehensive Look at the status of Men's Health in Georgia
The objective of this report is to compile and publish - in one place - information that will help assess men’s health in the state and further catalyze efforts to improve quality of life and health outcomes for men in Georgia. Consequently, this report focuses primarily on the diseases and disorders that most commonly affect men in our state and how the health of Georgia’s men compares to men in other states. Where current information is available, the report also examines the differences in health status among Georgia’s men by age groups, geographic location and race/ethnicity.

The Health of Australia's Males
This report is the second in a series on the health of Australia’s males. It examines the distinct health profiles of five population groups, characterised by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander status, remoteness, socioeconomic disadvantage, region of birth, and age.
There is increasing evidence that males experience poorer outcomes than females in many areas of health. It is also recognised that the diversity of Australia’s male population (numbering around 11 million in June 2010) extends to their health status and that some males experience poorer health outcomes than other males (ABS 2010a; DoHA 2010). Health and behaviours vary among males by characteristics such as Indigenous status, remoteness, socioeconomic disadvantage, region of birth (ethnicity) and age.

His Health: Alameda County Male Health Status Report 2010
This report serves as an evidence-based tool for policy makers, program planners, providers, and consumers wanting to advocate
for positive health outcomes for males. The report provides a detailed description of men’s health status by examining a range of health and social indicators among males in Alameda County. The indicators selected for this report were those given the highest priority by community-based and institutional partners who participated in a Web-based survey. Indicators cover chronic diseases, communicable diseases, mental health and substance abuse, crime and violence, employment and income, education, and homelessness.
His Health includes profiles of six men who were referred by community partners. These profiles are based on face- to-face interviews with men who reflect the racial/ethnic, sexual, and economic diversity of the Alameda County community. Each tells a personal story depicting his own relationship to health. Also included are policy recommen- dations that will help address the unique issues males face. These have been gleaned from literature and from multiple discussions with diverse, community-based stakeholders whose ultimate goal is to improve the health status of men and male youth in Alameda County.

Getting Inside Men's Health
This report provides us with valuable and wide-ranging insights into many of the key issues pertaining to men’s health. The report is very timely, in that it will have an important function in terms of informing the development of a National Policy on Men’s Health. Whilst there has been an increased awareness of the statistics surrounding men’s health in recent years, this report addresses in a very meaningful way, the issues that underpin these statistics. The report is highly comprehensive, both in terms of the range and depth of questions that it addresses, and in the use of both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. As the report shows, the culture in which a man finds himself has a crucial bearing on his health status.

Where Are the Men?
This report was produced by the Population Health department of Northern Health, under the direction of Dr. David Bowering,
Chief Medical Health Officer, Northern Health. It is called “Where Are the Men?” because, in many important ways, men appear to be missing. Where are the men who rarely, if ever, use preventive health services? Where are men if we compare their health to the health of women? Where do men live and work and where should services designed for men be located if we want to improve the health of Northern men? Where are the men who will stand up as role models for healthy fathers, brothers, uncles and sons in our communities?
We hope this report will be of interest and use to a broad audience, because we know that men’s health outcomes affect all of us. When men are unhealthy, we pay for it through economic hardship, family stress, crime, unemployment, domestic violence and direct health care costs. We believe that healthier men will help to build healthier families and communities in northern BC.
